Psychedelics in Latin America - Is the trip worth it?

In a world that increasingly asks for solutions that can help heal the growing and global mental health challenge, affecting over 1b people on the planet today, psychedelics arrive presenting themselves a colorful medicine that is as futuristic as it is ancient.

In that emerging wave of “re-discovering” psychedelic treatments, we find a convergence of scientists, doctors, chamans, politicians, religious and indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, instagram influencers, spiritual seekers, legislators, corporates, and not rarely some of those personalities combined. Trying to understand and commercialize psychedelic substances, we observe how scientific discoveries, legal and regulatory discussions and sales run in parallel, sometimes aligned, sometimes in clear contradiction - a main feature of an emerging industry that grows despite its blurry legal status.
