As 2024 unfolds, we become more accustomed to news regarding Artificial Intelligence (AI) helping businesses and creating tons of slop on their way, electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOLs), AKA flying cars, getting purchase orders, cannabis and psychedelic treatments revolutionizing medicine, web3 technologies such as blockchain steadily gaining territory, plus a growing concern for tech giants and governments alike to develop digital sustainability solutions.

What do all these innovations have in common? they’re all cutting-edge, impactful novelties that are changing the way we work, play, travel, heal, pay, vote, sow, eat and hopefully halt climate change. More importantly, from a business and legal perspective, they are all highly uncertain, unregulated emerging industries, also known as sunrise industries, with a promising future, and potential gains for those willing to navigate its early blurry waters.
